Inspiring Action Through Accountability

In both the developing and developed world, fiscal
policies—taxes, borrowing, spending, investing, and managing public resources—have major impacts on the health and well-being of all countries’ citizens. But frequently, the public is in the dark as to the financial decision-making process.

The Global Initiative for Fiscal Transparency (GIFT) believes that providing open financial information to all citizens will lead to increased engagement, with more people taking action to make sure their governments are working for them. GIFT is comprised of a network of partners, including the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank Group and the International Budget Group, that seeks to inform and recruit local, national and international partners to move towards increased fiscal transparency.

We partnered with the group Scaling Impact (iScale) who is shepherding this campaign, to effectively communicate their ideas and designed a branded look, website (www.fiscaltransparency.net) and social media presence that simply and succinctly introduces this initiative to its growing international audience.
